Coronation Street's Alex Bain welcomes baby at 17
The name is gorgeous!
Earlier this year, it was revealed that 17-year-old Coronation Street actor Alex Bain was to set to become a teenage dad, when he announced he was expecting a baby with his girlfriend Levi Selby. It has now been revealed that Alex, who is now 17-years-old and Levi have welcomed a little girl into the world and given her an adorable, unusual name.
Levi has apparently announced on Facebook that their new arrival is called Lydia-Rose Bain and was born on Saturday. Although no photos have been released yet, messages of congratulations have been flooding in to the couple, with one fan saying, 'Congratulations Levi and Alex on the birth of your baby girl!!❤️'.
Another said, 'All these babies being born are making me impatient😩these 26 days need to hurry up😂 but Congratulations to you and Alex, I bet she’s beautiful x💗x', with a further fan commenting, 'Congrats Levi and Alex!! Only just found out 😮 She’s absolutely perfect 😍xxx'.

Alex and Levi started dating in 2017, although reports suggested the pair separated earlier this year. However, despite these reports, Alex denied these rumours when Levi posted photos of her 12-week scan on Facebook.
Alex later took to Facebook to say how excited he was, 'For all those wondering, 'I’m still with my girlfriend Levi, and I honestly cannot wait for my little baby girl to arrive! I cant wait to have my own little family!' sic
Although the couple have yet to comment a source has been quoted saying,“They’d had to deal with a lot and they’re both so young.
"But they’re absolutely over the moon - it’s the greatest gift they could have hoped for this Christmas."
Levi has however changed her Facebook intro text to say, 'Lydia-rose bain❤️👶🏻8/12/18❤️👶🏻Alex❤️'. sic
Alex plays the role of Ken Barlow’s grandson Simon Barlow in Coronation Street, a role that won him Best Young Performance at the British Soap Awards in 2011.
