One person has been receiving treatment after a fire in a Dundee tenement building.

Emergency services were alerted to the building on Kinghorne Road yesterday around 7:43pm.

Four appliances were dispatched to the scene and the fire was extinguished.

One person had to be treated by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 7.43pm on Thursday, 11 January to reports of a fire within a tenement building at Kinghorne Road, Dundee.

“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene where crews extinguished the fire.

“One casualty was passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
