Motorcyclist dies over a week after serious Perthshire crash

The 65 year-old man was being treated at Ninewells Hospital

A motorcyclist has died ten days after being involved in a serious Perthshire crash.

The 65 year-old man was travelling on the A822 Gilmerton to Amulree route around 2.10pm on May 17th when he collided with a transit van.

He was taken to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital but later died.

His family have asked for their privacy to be respected and officers are continuing to appeal for information

Sergeant Brian McEwen said : “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.

“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2167 of Friday, 17 May, 2024.”
