Morgan Academy to open as normal on Thursday following power outage

The school closed on Wednesday afternoon due to health and safety concerns following the outage

Morgan Academy is excepted to open as normal on Thursday after it was forced to close early on Wednesday afternoon due to a power outage.

Pupils and staff were sent home due to the issue.

The school say a lunch provision was in operation and assistance was available to students who required help to get home to carers.

The academy made the announcement on X shortly before 12:30pm on Wednesday, saying: "Due to the impact of a current power outage, Morgan Academy will be closed to pupils and staff from lunchtime this afternoon.

"A lunch provision is in operation and assistance is available students who require help in getting home to a carers."

A Dundee City Councils spokesperson said: "The school is expected to open as normal tomorrow.

"The closure was put in place because of health & safety considerations due to the outage."
