A McDonald's lorry trailer has burst into flames in Dundee.

Fire crews remain on the scene at Camperdown Leisure Park after being called out at 6.21am on Friday.

The trailer appears to be parked near Dundee Ice Arena.

There have been no reports of any casualties.

Drivers from the nearby Kingsway could see smoke emerging from the back of the trailer.

The fire has now been put out, but crews remain on the scene to make the area safe.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 6.21am on Friday, 16 June to reports of a vehicle fire in Dundee.

"Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the city's Dayton Drive, where firefighters extinguished a fire which had taken hold of an HGV.

"Crews currently remain on scene working to make the area safe.

"There are no casualties."
