A man has been seriously injured during a dog attack in Dundee.

It has been the 63-year-old was hurt by an XL bully at a property on Longtown Place in the Mid Craigie area on Friday evening.

It has been reported the dog involved is an XL bully

A Police Scotland spokesperson told us: "Police received a report of a dog having injured a 63-year-old man at an address in Longtown Place on the evening of Friday, 22 September, 2023.

"The man required treatment to a serious arm injury at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

"Officers and a vet attended and the animal has been seized."
