John Kinloch has been jailed for a minimum of four and a half years for sexually assaulting three women in Perthshire.

The 59-year-old pleaded guilty to the crimes, including rape and sexual assault, at the High Court in Edinburgh in March.

He returned to to the court today and was sentenced to imprisonment for an indeterminate period of time, with a fixed minimum term of four and a half years.

He was also issued with an Order for Lifelong Restriction.

Detective Inspector Graeme Wishart said: “We know it take enormous courage to report crimes of this nature and we know how difficult it is for people to face their abuser.

"I would like to thank the women for contacting us and their faith in us to seek justice. I hope they can take some comfort knowing a dangerous predator, such as Kinloch, has been convicted and jailed.

“We encourage anyone who is or has suffered sexual abuse to contact us in the knowledge we will do everything in our power to see you achieve justice."
