A 44 year-old man is in hospital following a road crash in Arbroath.

Emergency services were called to Culloden Road around 1am this morning to reports of a single car collision.

The road was closed and the man was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.

Officers reopened Culloden Road around 5.50am.
