51-year-old man hospitalised following Dundee assault

Police are appealing for witnesses and those with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward

A man has been taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment following an assault on Ballindean Road in Dundee.

The 51-year-old was assaulted by another man in a busy area at around 11am on Monday, 12th February 2024.

The man is described by Police as being in his 30s, of stocky build and with short dark hair.

He was wearing a green coloured tracksuit.

Police are appealing for information following the assault and they're asking witnesses and those with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.

Constable Darren Derrick said: “A man was left injured as a result of this incident and we are appealing for information to help us establish exactly what happened.

“The area was busy at the time and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and who hasn’t already spoken to police to contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash cam footage which could assist us to get in touch."
