Man charged after fatal West Lothian crash

A 35-year-old woman died following the incident

A man has been arrested and charged after a fatal crash in West Lothian last year.

The incident, involving a motorcycle and a car, happened on the A89 between Armadale and Blackridge around 9.15pm on August 11, 2023.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 35-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

And the 21-year-old man is due to appear in court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a road traffic offence, following a fatal crash in West Lothian in August, 2023.

“The incident on the A89 between Armadale and Blackridge involved a motorcycle and a car and happened around 9.15pm on Friday, 11 August 2023.

“The rider of the motorcycle, a 35-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The man is due to appear in court at a later date.”
