Man charged after Arbroath convenience store rammed with stolen lorry

He was picked up in connection with attempted break-ins and break-ins

A 30 year-old man was arrested and charged after a stolen lorry rammed a convenience store in Arbroath.

The Mayfield Foodstore on Mayfield Terrace was targeted around 6.10 on Friday morning.

Officers say the man was charged in connection with another incident on High Street on March 15.

Detective Sergeant Colin Watson said: “We would like to thank members of the community for their assistance during our investigation.

“We are committed to tackling these offences and would urge anyone who believes they have been a victim of a break-in to contact us.”
