Fire crews tackle blaze at Newtyle property for 12 hours

Fire crews tackled a blaze at a property in Angus for 12 hours on Friday night.

Three appliances were sent to Stratmore Gardens in Newtyle shortly after 7.40pm before sending an aerial appliance at 9.15pm.

The stop signal was received at 8.41am.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We received the call at 7.42pm.

"We sent three appliances initially and an aerial appliance was sent at 9.15pm.

"The stop signal was received at 8.41am this morning."

Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
