Emergency services on scene of fire on Broughty Ferry bus

It's believed the blaze broke out around 2.30pm

Emergency services are currently attending a blaze on Strathern Road in Broughty Ferry.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed to us that they received a report of a double decker bus alight at 2.30pm this afternoon.

Two appliances are currently at the scene and all residents of nearby properties have been advised to stay inside.

Road closures are in place on Strathern Road, Crawford Place, Fairfield Road and Ralston Road.

No one is injured.

Stagecoach East Scotland confirmed that one of their vehicles was involved in the incident and that all passengers were safely evacuated from the vehicle.

A spokesperson for Stagecoach East Scotland said:

“Safety is our number one priority, and we are currently investigating the circumstances involved."
