Police investigating after cars deliberately set on fire in Perth

Police in Perth are investigating after two cars were "extensively damaged" by fires.

A green Land Rover Discovery and a silver Vauxhall Mokka were damaged in the fires which "appear to have been started deliberately."

The incident of wilful fire-raising happened overnight from Thursday, 1st February 2024, to Friday, 2nd February 2024, in the Tulloch Works, Tulloch Road area of the city.

Officers say previous incidents of this nature have happened in the area and are appealing for those with information to come forward.

A Tayside Police spokesperson said: "We are currently investigating an incident of wilful fire-raising which occurred in the area of Tulloch Works, Tulloch Road, Perth, overnight Thursday 1st into Friday 2nd February."

"Two cars - a green Land Rover Discovery and a silver Vauxhall Mokka - were extensively damaged by fires which appear to have been started deliberately.

"We are also aware of previous incidents of this type in this area, and we would like to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to this, or previous, incidents in the general area.

"If you have any information that could assist our enquiries, please call 101 or speak to any police officer. also, information can be given anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is incident 0745 of 2nd February."
