Charlie Mulgrew is leaving Dundee United after two years at the club.

The former Scotland defender joined the Tannadice side in June 2021, scoring six goals in his 75 appearances.

The 37-year-old had nine months remaining on his contract, but doesn't appear to be in manager Jim Goodwin's plans as they seek Premiership promotion at the first time of asking.

"We thank Charlie for his efforts in tangerine and wish him the best for the future," said a club statement.

It was his second spell with the Terrors after spending a brief spell on loan there from Celtic in 2006.

Mulgrew is now on the lookout for his ninth club in football.
