Police appeal for witnesses following Auchterarder assault

A 36-year-old man was hospitalised due to the assault on New Year's Eve

A 36-year-old man has been hospitalised and released after receiving treatment following an assault in Auchterarder.

The incident happened between 9:30pm and 11:20pm on New Year's Eve in the High Street or John Law Court areas of the town.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault and urging anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to come forward.

Detective Constable Bob Roger, Perth CID, said: “I’d appeal to anyone with information on what happened to come forward.

“If you were in the area around the time and witnessed the assault, you may have vital information which could assist our enquiries.

“Perhaps you have private CCTV, doorbell or a dashcam footage which has captured something that could help. Please review footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
