Teens in Kirriemuir followed by man with a knife

Police say the man was in his 50s or 60s

Police have said a group of teenagers in Kirriemuir were followed by an older man who was possibly carrying a knife.

The incident happened in the Angus town on Saturday April 1st.

The youths were reportedly followed through Kinnordy Road and Lord Lyell Drive at 9.25pm.

The male is described as of slight build in his 50s/60s, wearing a black hooded jacket, black jeans and brown boots at the time of the incident.

Police appeal

Police in Kirriemuir are now appealing for witnesses, asking anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson has said: "If you have any information relating to this incident or the male described, please contact Police on 101 quoting crime reference CR/0040298/23".
