A stretch of the A92 has been reopened after reports an ordnance item was found in a nearby residence.
Police had closed the route between the Claypotts junction and Scott Fyffe roundabout earlier today.
Officers have been witnessed leaving the scene and Tay FM understands the situation was not serious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A92 Arbroath Road between the Claypotts junction and Scott Fyffe roundabout, Dundee has now reopened.
“We would like to thank everyone for their co-operation.”
