Man charged after A9 crash that left two teenagers in hospital

A 59-year-old man has been charged following a crash on the A9 that left two teenagers in hospital.

Emergency services were called to the two vehicle collision near Kindallachan around 7am on Monday morning. The road was closed for around two hours with drivers experiencing significant delays for several hours.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Tay News: “We received a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A9 near Kindallachan, around 7am on Monday, 3 April, 2023.

“The driver and passenger of one of the vehicles, an 18-year-old man and 19-year-old man, were taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

“A 59-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident.

“The road was fully re-opened around 2.15pm.”
