Man, 69, in critical condition after Arbroath car crash

A 69-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after crashing his car in Arbroath.

It happened at around 1am on Thursday on East Mary Street at its junction with Hannah Street and involved one vehicle, a silver Nissan Micra.

The road remains closed as police investigate.

Police appealing for further information

Sergeant Gordon Dickson said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this crash.

"The road remains closed at this time for officers to carry out enquiries.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen the car involved prior to the incident, or who has any dash-cam footage to come forward if you haven’t already spoken to an officer.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 0189 of 8 June, 2023.”
