10kg of cannabis found during Perthshire car stop

A man has been charged after 10kg of drugs were found during a car stop in Perthshire.
Officers acting on intelligence made the discovery on the A90 near Glendoick around 9.45pm last night.
The herbal cannabis has an estimated value of £65,000.
The driver, a 34 year-old man, is due to appear at court today.
Detective Superintendent Steven Elliott said: “This has been an excellent recovery which included officers from the Roads Policing team.
“Preventing the sale and supply of controlled drugs is a key focus and we rely on information from the public to help us continue disrupt such crimes.
“This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
