A woman is in hospital with significant injuries after a serious assault at a nightclub in Swindon.

It happened at Cheekies in the early hours of yesterday morning (Saturday 27th at 1.30am) in the smoking area on Fleet Street.

It's reported that she was punched after having an argument with another woman and a man.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. In a statement, they said:

"We are asking that anyone who was at the venue at the time of the assault, and who may have seen what took place, to contact us.

If you can help please call us on 101 quoting incident number 54210115680.

We would also ask anyone who took pictures at the club to please send them to DC Chris Hughes (christopher.hughes@wiltshire.police.uk)."
