Wiltshire Council continues crackdown on fly-tippers

Offenders will now receive increased fines

Wiltshire Council is clamping down on fly-tippers in the county with increased fines that WON'T have early payment discounts.

As part of it's 'We're Targeting Fly-Tippers' (WTF) campaign, the council has increased the charge of a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) for fly-tipping to £1,000.

There's also now a £600 FPN for household duty of care - meaning anyone collecting our rubbish must be appropriately registered to do so.

In a bid to get tough with offenders, the council's removed the early payment discount to ensure that those dumping rubbish in Wiltshire don't get off lightly.
