Wiltshire Air Ambulance called out after woman crashes illegal bike in Swindon

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called out after a woman crashed an illegal bike in Swindon.

It happened just before 1pm on Thursday when the electric bicycle ploughed into a Royal Mail van in Truscott Avenue, Redhouse.

The rider, a woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Great Western Hospital for treatment.

The electric bicycle was seized - no arrests have been made.
