Swindon Police search for weapons in Cambria Bridge
Officers used metal detectors to look for knives stashed in bushes
The search for hidden weapons has continued in Swindon, with police carrying out a sweep in the Cambria Bridge area.
Officers used metal detectors to look for knives that may have been stashed away in bushes and shrubbery.
It's after residents raised concerns of anti-social behaviour in the town.
In a post on social media, the police said: "Officers from Central South Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team were out and about in Cambria Bridge carrying out weapons sweeps in the area.
"The use of metal detectors by officers has proved to be successful in finding stashed weapons in thick undergrowth and shrubbery."
Last month, knife bins were installed in Swindon as part of Operation Sceptre.
