Two young males arrested following Swindon shooting

Two young males have been arrested, following a shooting in Swindon.

Police have taken a 20-year-old man and 17-year-old boy into custody, after arresting them on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

It comes after a 45-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound near Sackville Close in Walcot on 23 March. Officers believe the shooting took place at around 9:15pm.

The man required hospital treatment and police have described his injury as "serious".

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He's since been released on conditional bail.

Police are now urging anyone who saw the shooting, or who has relevant information, to call them on 101 quoting log 54230031363.
