Two people charged for drug supply line between Swindon and Reading

Two people have been charged with drug offences following two warrants conducted in the Swindon and Reading areas.
The warrants, which were executed simultaneously on May 3 by Fortitude teams with assistance from Neighbourhood Policing Teams, took place in Aldworth Close in Reading and Somerville Road in Swindon.
Katie Longmate, 37, of Aldworth Close, and Chakir Smith, 28, of Beaumont Road, London, were arrested and charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and being concerned in the supply of heroin.
Longmate pleaded guilty at Swindon Magistrates Court on May 4 and has been remanded in custody until June 1 for sentencing at Swindon Crown Court.
Smith pleaded not guilty and has been released on bail and is next due to appear at Swindon Crown Court on June 1.
The warrants were executed following intelligence related to drug supply to class A drug users between Reading and Swindon.
