Trowbridge business named start up of the year as FSB awards
Parade House was saved from dereliction and now hosts functions
A Trowbridge business launched in 2023 has won a South West business award.
Parade House is a Grade 1 Georgian property that's been given a new lease of life and is now used for public and private function.
It's won the Federation of Small Businesses in the South West 'Start Up Business of the year'.
Having been rescued from dereliction, Parade House is now able to thrive as a businesses with meeting rooms, a grand ballroom and a luxury cinema and received the Town Enhancement Award from the Trowbridge Mayor in 2023.
In total, 12 businesses won awards, and will all go on to represent the South West region in a national final in May, to be held in Blackpool.
Ruth Lambert, the FSB Development Manager for Wiltshire and Somerset said she was thrilled to see so many local successes.
“I was fortunate enough to see a lot of the entries as they came in and I was genuinely staggered at the variety and quality across every sector I looked at.
“It was clear that any business that emerged with a title from such an incredibly strong field of candidates must have something really special about them and I am so pleased to see a Wiltshire winner. Fingers crossed they also add a national title to their regional one as well.”
