Tributes are being paid to a "devoted family man" who died in a crash near Malborough

A three vehicle collision was reported on the A346 just after 6.15 am on Wednesday morning. James Dixey was a passenger in one of the cars.

Mr Dixey's loved ones have paid tribute to a devoted family man who had time for everyone. His wife has described him as her hero and soulmate.

His family have released this joint statement:

"James Dixey, lovingly known to all as Jim, was a devoted family man - described by his wife Kay as her hero, soulmate and best friend.

Jim would do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat and was a real family-orientated man.

He loved watching the rugby, fishing with his grandchildren and playing snooker with his brother.

He will be sorely missed by his large family."

Police are continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash-cam footage to get in touch with them. Call 101 and quote log number 31 of December 1.
