Trains suspended between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads after incident on tracks

Great Western Railway services have been suspended in both directions between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads, after a death on the tracks.

Emergency services were called at around 9:35am this morning, following reports of a casualty in the Swindon area.

Despite the work of paramedics and police, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are now trying to identify the deceased and establish the full circumstances surrounding their death.

Rail Replacement Services are being put in operation between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads, whilst trains continue to be suspended.
