Thousands raised after blaze at Devizes kebab shop
Those behind the drive say the owners have 'lost everything'
More than £7,000 has been raised for workers and residents impacted by a major blaze at a kebab house in Devizes.
Those behind the drive say the owners have 'lost everything' - including all of the vital documentation they need.
The A360 Northgate Street in Devizes could be closed until early December - as teams continue working to make the building safe following the incident early hours of Tuesday morning.
Kayleigh and Lesley, behind the fundraiser, said: "We are hearing of such sad news coming in this morning about the devastating fire in Devizes town centre, we are currently setting up a go fund me page for those affected by the tragic fire of the Kebab house and their workers.
"They’ve lost everything they own in this world including all vital documentation they need and unfortunately costs to replace
"Hamza and the 3 guys who work along side him are so lovely and are loved by many.
"Now homeless and out of work were hoping as a community we can help them in anyway we can even if it’s to cover the costs of expenses of documentation.
"And after being notified that the residents of the properties next door have also suffered in this we have raised the fundraising amount to help ALL involved in this and hope it’s a stepping stone in the rebuilding of homes and lives.
"Thank you for your time, generosity and kindness."

In an update from the Fire Service yesterday (14 November), we were told: "We have now left the scene, after a reinspection and dealing with some hot spots yesterday morning.
"The road closure now sits with Wiltshire Council due to the instability of the building.
"We believe the fire started accidentally but we may not be able to specify a cause, given the damage."
