Swindon Town's owner Clem Morfuni says he wants the new Head Coach to take the club "to the next level".
The Robins have been on the hunt for a new boss since Ben Garner left last week, to join Charlton Athletic in League One.
Garner's last game in charge was an agonising defeat to Port Vale, in the League Two play-off semi-finals.
'We've just got to make sure we get the right person'
Speaking exclusively to Greatest Hits Radio, Mr Morfuni said Garner's replacement must be a good fit with the culture at Town.
"We're looking through all the candidates, we want to make sure we get the right replacement, the right ethos of the way we play football.
"It's a very important role, so we've just got to make sure that we get the right person. I don't want to be sitting here, in the next six months, saying 'we didn't get it right,'" he added.
According to Mr Morfuni, "plenty" of interviews have taken place in the 10 days since Garner's departure.
He's also paid tribute to Town fans for their "unbelievable" support during his whirlwind first year at the County Ground.
The club's owner has now travelled back to Australia, for business in his homeland, and expects to return to Swindon in early September.
