Swindon Town owner Clemente Morfuni has been fined £10,000 for failing to declare a transfer of shares in the club.

The League Two side have also been issued a reprimand and a warning for breach of EFL rules on their part.

Australian businessman Morfuni was charged in December for failing to tell the club's management a transfer of 17.1% shareholding to Hollie Kiely had been made in September 2022.

The failure to disclose meant the club, currently 17th in League Two, breached EFL regulations.

EFL clubs are required to inform the league of details of any 'significant interest' shareholder with more than 10 per cent of voting rights.

The club also breached regulations by failing to update their official website for public record.

Both the club and Morfuni admitted the breach, with Morfuni taking full responsibility.

An independent disciplinary commission accepted the club's breach was inadvertent and issued a reprimand and a warning, in addition to fining Morfuni.
