Swindon Town will still have to pay a £2,000 fine for EFL regulation breaches.

That's despite having their transfer window fee restriction reduced from three to two windows, with the second suspended, after an appeal.

The club were penalised last Autumn for accumulating 30 days or more of late payments to other clubs or HMRC between July 2023 and June 2024.

Clubs in the EFL are not permitted to default on payments to other clubs and HMRC for more than ten days before receiving a written warning, for more than 20 days before receiving a fine, and for more than 30 days to be handed a transfer window fee restriction.
