Swindon Town have shared a statement - after reporting a 'racist incident' to the FA and the FA Women's National League.

It is reported to have happened in the first half of the game between Maidenhead United Women and Swindon Town Women on Sunday 23 March.

Bosses added: "The comment was reported to the match officials at the time, and the player immediately made the referee and our staff aware of the incident.

"The FA has offered its full and unequivocal support to the player who was subjected to racism.

"Swindon Town Football Club does not tolerate any form of racism towards any of our players or staff, and we expect the FA to investigate fully and take the appropriate action.

"Racism has no place in the game at any level."
