Swindon Town say they are "delighted", after the club were drawn against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
The Premier League champions, managed by Pep Guardiola, will face The Robins at the County Ground in the Third Round.
Rob Angus, Swindon Town's Chief Executive, said: "It is a huge draw for all of the town, for all of our loyal fans and we haven't been in the Third Round for over 10 years.
"It will be an amazing day and an amazing game.
"It will be a shot in the arm financially. We've inherited a very, very difficult position with £4.5 million worth of debt, we've made good progress but we've still got £2.5 million worth of debt to work through and legal battles and issues to work through ... this will be a big help".
'The style of football we play is similar to the likes of Man City'
The plum tie follows Town's 2-1 victory at Walsall in the FA Cup second round last weekend.
However, their third round opponents will be an immeasurably tougher task. Manchester City are currently one of the best sides in world football, having won 13 major domestic trophies in the past decade.
"I know Ben Garner will be buzzing and the style of football we play is a great style of football and is similar to the likes of Man City.
"The thing for me that is nice that all of our loyal supporters who come to all the games, those who can't make it away will be able to come.
"We'll look at how we can reward our most loyal fans and hopefully it will push up attendances for our other upcoming games over the Christmas period," Angus added.
The Robins will host Manchester City between 7-10 January.
