Swindon Town owner and chairman Clem Morfuni has acknowledged concerns raised in an open letter from a supporters group.

But the Australian businessman says he doesn't fully agree with all the points raised by fans.

In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, Mr Morfuni says he will request a meeting with supporter groups in the coming weeks to discuss the letter and a recent fan-led survey.

In the letter, fans stated they'd lost confidence in the leadership of the club, calling for Mr Morfuni to invest and bring experience to the football operation.

Fans demanded he sold the club if he is unable to provide the backing it needs.

The Robins finished 19th in Sky Bet League Two this season, the clubs worst finish in modern history, and the side have been without a permanent manager since January.

Mr Morfuni has owned Swindon Town since 2021

Mr Morfuni said: "Our main activities since the end of the 2023/24 season have been to conduct thorough reviews of our performance on and off the pitch, ensuring that we learn from our mistakes and make positive changes for the 2024/25 season.

"We recognise that last season was not up to our club's standards."

The Australian said feedback from supporters is 'valued' and they disagree with some of the points raised in the letter, Mr Morfuni admitted 'open dialogue and collaboration with our fan base is essential to future success.'

He adds the club is already addressing some of the known issues and that supporters will be updated on how those matters progress in the next few weeks.
