It wasn't the night Swindon Town and their fans were hoping for - after they ended up missing out on a trip to Wembley.
The Robins drew 2-all on aggregate over the two legs, meaning it came down to penalties, ending on 6-5 to Vale.
Vale fans invaded the pitch after the last penalty and footage appears to show some in an altercation with Ben Garner's players.
In a tweet, the club say the loss "will hurt for a while".
We spoke with some fans who watched the game from home, at a live-streaming event for supporters who didn't travel to Vale Park.
They shared their support for the club, saying "they've done a fantastic job, we've got to look at ourselves with immense pride and we're going in the right direction. So hopefully, next season, we will challenge again. If not the playoffs, we will get automatic promotion. I guarantee it".
