A man has died after a collision with a motorbike in Swindon.

At approximately 8.35pm on Monday 31 January, police believe a motorbike collided with a pedestrian on Drakes Way, having travelled from McDonalds at Greenbridge.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital, but later died. He was a local man in his 30s.

The motorcylist, a 19-year-old man, was also hospitalised with a suspected broken arm.

Whilst collision investigators are conducting enquiries, Drakes Way is closed in both directions between Greenbridge roundabout and the roundabout with Queens Drive.

Officers are now urging any witnesses, including people with CCTV or dash footage in the area, to call 101 and quote log number 313 of January 31.
