Swindon parents 'disgusted' with lack of investigation progress since teen was killed
Harry Parker died in a suspected hit and run on Akers Way last November
The parents of a teenager, who was killed in a suspected hit and run in Swindon, have shared their heartbreak and anger.
Harry Parker was walking to Nova Hreod Academy on November 25 2022, when he was hit by a car whilst crossing Akers Way. The crash happened at around 8:20am.
Medical staff gave the 14-year-old CPR at the scene, before he was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Tragically, Harry died shortly afterwards.
The person driving the car that hit Harry left the scene. Wiltshire Police arrested a woman in her 50s later that day, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She was then released on bail, pending further enquiries.
Since then, no updates on the investigation have been shared with the public.
'I'm not stopping until justice is served'
Harry's Mum, Kelly Parker, has told Greatest Hits Radio she's "absolutely devastated" about the lack of progress in the search for her son's killer.
"There's somebody out there that is walking around, spending time with their family, when they have killed my child and driven off. I'm not stopping until justice is served.
"I find it absolutely disgusting that they (the offender) are allowed to do that, whilst our son is gone.
"I would like things to be moving on a lot more quickly. It's been nine months. We're told all the time (by police): 'no updates, no progress'. It's not good enough," she said.

Harry's death shocked the Swindon community. Hundreds of people of all ages lined Akers Way for his funeral in December, paying tribute to a schoolboy who was taken too soon.
Many mourners wore football shirts, to honour Harry's love of the sport.
Harry's Dad, Adam Parker, coached his football team, Ferndale Rodbourne. Adam has told Greatest Hits Radio the teenager was "my life" and "very family orientated".
"I built my world around Harry. All my spare time was with Harry.
"I miss him, because he was such a cheeky chap. A lot of people have said that," Adam added.
'Our officers are working hard'
In response, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with Harry’s family following his tragic death on Akers Way in November.
"This is an ongoing investigation and our officers are working hard to ensure that any relevant facts and information is correctly presented before the Crown Prosecution Service.
"It would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage".
