A man from Swindon has been sentenced to ten-and-a-half years in prison for a non-recent serious sexual assault.

It follows an incident in 2016 where he took advantage of his victim whilst she was passed out, and unresponsive.

This conviction was secured thanks to evidence - which was only discovered six years later on a phone.

Carl Wallis was sentenced today at Swindon Crown Court after being found guilty during a three day trial in December 2023.

The 38 year old from the Brookdene area will also be on the Sex Offenders' Register for life.
