A man from Swindon has been found guilty of sexual offences against a child.

58 year-old Alexander Franczyk, of Pritchard Close, Kingsdown, was found guilty by trial at Winchester Crown Court yesterday of multiple offences.

The offences took place between July 2016 and May 2023 - he is due to be sentenced in October.

Detective Constable Sarah Pollock, from the Child Abuse Investigation Team said: "I'd like to commend these two young girls who showed incredible bravery at coming forward to report these crimes after suffering several years of abuse.

“This has been a deeply upsetting case and I hope they can now start to rebuild their lives, safe in the knowledge that Franczyk will now face a significant custodial sentence.”
