Almost 2,000 people were caught speeding in Wiltshire during February as the number of people caught soared.

Last months 1,769 drivers clocked over the speed limit is an increase of more than 1,000 on January's 707.

It's leading to calls for safer driving from Speed Enforcement Officers.

They say speeding isn't just a law breaking offence, it's putting lives at risk.

It gives us less time to react to hazards, increases our stopping distances and brings a higher risk of serious injury or death in the event of a crash.

We're asked to drive smart and do our bit to make Wiltshire's roads safer for everyone.
