Police in Swindon have seized six kilograms of cannabis, and arrested two men, following a pursuit.

Roads Policing Unit officers tried to stop a Mercedes A200 AMG on Thursday last week (17th April).

A 8.5 mile pursuit followed, with the vehicle travelling into Swindon and ended up in the grounds of the Great Western Hospital.

The car being followed by police damaged its nearside wheels on a kerb before colliding with two bushes and coming to a stop.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Three men decamped from the Mercedes, with two of them - an 18 year old and a 21 year old, both from London, arrested a short time afterwards.

They've been questioned on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.

The pair have since been bailed while enquiries are ongoing.

The drugs were found in the boot of the car during a search.
