Sir Keir Starmer is visiting Swindon.
The Labour leader paid a visit to Morrisons supermarket with Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
It's as the party pledges to put family finances first by cutting household energy bills by £300 and protecting Britain from future energy shocks.
The Labour leader promised more protection from attacks for shop workers. He said: "We need to change this idea that if it's under £200 worth of shoplifting then nothing is being done. We're not going to have a magic wand and throw more money at the police, what we can do is work with the police to find an effective solution to this.
He also pledged to end no-fault evictions: "If we're able to end them, which the government has repeatedly said it would do but failed, that takes a burden off the councils because many people evicted through no fault of their own end up relying on the council.
"Economic stability, the number one mission of an incoming government, will really help councils but inflation and interest rates have hit them really hard....I want to make sure that councils have the funding they need."
