School children 'approached by man' in Trowbridge
They say three incidents have been reported to them in the last two weeks
Wiltshire Police say they've received reports of a man following school children in the Trowbridge area.
They say three incidents have been reported to them in the last two weeks in the town.
In one incident reported to them, the man told a student her mum had asked him to collect her.
The force says they’re looking into whether the incidents are linked, and want anyone who has been approached to contact them straight away.
Sgt Charlotte Chilton said: “We recognise the concerns that this will have caused in the local community and we would urge anyone who is approached by someone they don’t know to report such incidents to us immediately.
"It would be really helpful if we could be told as much information as possible including the car make/model/colour and registration plate.
"We will be carrying out extra patrols before and after school to offer some reassurance, and are working closely with schools in the area to offer advice and guidance."
Anyone with information should contact them on 101 quoting log 54240008815, or 999 in an emergency.
