It's been confirmed that the Red Arrows will attend this year's Royal International Air Tattoo!
There's less than 150 days to go until the three-day event - with more than 170,000 people expected to descend on Fairford.
As well as the Red Arrows, the Air Tattoo will also feature other aircraft, including a British Aerospace Hawk, and two German Army Helicopters.
The three-day event takes place every July and, this year, will be held on Friday 14th - Sunday 16th of July, with crowds of over 170,000 expected to descend on Fairford across the weekend.
Joining the Red Arrows, the Royal International Air Tattoo have also unveiled British Aerospace Hawk Mk.51 and McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet from the Finnish Air Force, two German Army NH90 TTC helicopters, a Leonardo C-27J Spartan from the Lithuanian Air Force and a Hawker Hunter MK.58 that will all be taking part in either flying or static display.
With new aircraft being unmasked every week, there is still plenty to come before this summer’s awe-inspiring event.
Along with the Red Arrows announcement the airshow organisers have also extended their Super Early Bird ticket offer until Sunday 5th March, allowing adults to buy tickets at a discounted price and, as ever, all children go free.
Paul Atherton, Chief Executive Officer at Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises said: “It’s always great to be able to announce formally that the Red Arrows will be displaying at RIAT.
"They are a firm favourite of many who attend the event and will as always be a highlight in our packed display programme over the whole weekend.
"Confirmations are now starting to trickle in from overseas participants too, so lots more exciting things to announce over the coming weeks.”
Every year, the aviation showcase enables the event’s parent charity, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, to fulfil its mission to inspire children to explore the amazing world of aviation.
The Air Tattoo raises funds that allow the charity to continue to deliver STEM and aviation experiences for young people all over the UK.
During the show itself, there will be activities throughout the showground for children and young people to enjoy, including the Charitable Trust’s Techno Zone which is full of STEM related exhibits, and they get chance to interact with the pilots and hear from the famous faces from behind the scenes who appear on the Inspire Stage.

“Every year, thousands of children and adults alike get to see aviation in all its glory in our Techno Zone and Inspire Stage, both which are at the heart of what we do.”
