Race for Men is returning to Salisbury this year and is aiming to pass £60,000 raised to support Prostate Cancer.
The event, which is preparing for it's eighth year, will be held at Hudson's Field on Sunday 26th May.
After being first run in 2015, it's now raised over £54,000 for the Prostate and Urology department at Salisbury District Hospital, via the hospital's charity The Stars Appeal.
Last year's event raised more than £8,000.
Event Director, Toby Giles, said it's launch was inspired by a personal connection to prostate cancer.
"The event started back in 2015, when my father had prostate cancer, we put together an event because we didn't feel that prostate cancer was supported enough, especially in the local area," he said, "We spoke to the Stars Appeal, hey put a prostate fund together for us and we put on our first race for men."
Toby added that you never know who's going to be affected by prostate cancer.
"It's so important that each and every one of us supports in our local community," he said, adding: "We want to raise as much money as we can. We want to get over £60,000 this year."
While the event raises cash to support men's health, the event itself isn't just for men.
"Race for Men is something for everybody," Toby said, "It's a race for male cancers. It's not a race just for men to run. It's a race for men, women, children, families to come down, run the signature run in the morning, play football in the afternoon, come and enjoy the live entertainment that we have all day."
The event features the usual 3k, 5k, 10k and 21k runs, while the five-a-side football tournament returns for the afternoon.
And there's going to be fun zone for children, featuring animals from Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm and bouncy castles.
"We've also got a super car event in partnership with Wilton. Wake up and Lord Pembroke," Toby added.
