Queen Camilla will attend a charity concert at Salisbury Cathedral this evening (08/02) on her first official engagement since King Charles’ cancer diagnosis was made public.

A Unique Concert for Wiltshire is raising money for three Wiltshire charities: The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Youth Action Wiltshire.

The event will see award winning concert pianist Rupert Egerton-Smith perform alongside The Band of The Grenadier Guards and The Band and Bugles of The Rifles.

Adam Baker from Wiltshire Air Ambulance told us: “We’re very privileged to have Her Majesty as our patron.

“She came to the air base in 2018 to open it and we were delighted by that. We are looking forward to seeing her again.

Salisbury Cathedral says the concert will “celebrate the rich histories of the two regiments, as well as pay homage to the local Wiltshire area.”

It comes after Prince William spoke publicly for the first time since his father's diagnosis was announced at a charity event in London last night (07/02).

Her Majesty will attend the concert in the same week Princess Anne opened a new response unit at St Johns Ambulance in Devizes.

Tickets for the event must be purchased online before the event and ticket prices range from £15 to £65.
