Wiltshire Police are urging residents near Chippenham to be vigilant after cars were stolen during burglaries.

A Porsche and a BMW X5 were taken from an address in Burton at approximately 12:30am on Wednesday.

The car keys were stolen from the house, before the vehicles were taken.

A day later, a Porsche and a Volkswagen Golf were stolen in similar circumstances from an address in Little Somerford.

Anyone with information about the incidents is being asked to call 101, quoting crime reference numbers 54240062221 and 54240062482.

Insp Pete Foster said:

"Our enquiries in relation to these incidents are ongoing however, it is clear that suspects are targeting high value vehicles.

"Please be vigilant and mindful of your own home security and ensure keys are locked away securely and out of sight.

"If you suspect suspicious activity at a neighbours address, please report it immediately. We’d rather know and it be nothing, than not be informed at all and a crime have been committed."
